About the table
The Chain Table Technicians Events began on May 23, 2025 under the chairmanship of Walter Ligthart and focuses primarily on workers at and for technical suppliers. These companies are united in the Association of Technical Suppliers Events/VTTE. This organization has existed since corona times and now has 250 members, varying in size. They include self-employed people with a “one-man business. Plus to small and large companies with salaried employees and ad hoc hired freelancers et al.
Broadly speaking, the field of activity of technical suppliers consists of three components:
* Cultural events
This includes festivals, but also activities/performances in theaters, pop stages, etc.
Commercial and non-commercial/non-profit. At subsidized organizations and elsewhere.
Many of the organizations involved are members of the Association of Event Makers/VVEM.
* Events business market
This may include sports.
* Social events
The intended fair pay practice tools of this Chain Table are:
* For the benefit of employees:
Function house technicians with weight levels, experience criteria, grading and salaries.
Standard regulation fringe benefits
(think, for example, about working hours, vacation and overtime, travel expenses and hours, expense allowances, special leave, payment for illness/incapacity, pension plan, study opportunities, co-determination).
* For the benefit of self-employed workers:
Rates considering levels of heaviness of work and experience of workers.
Zzp surcharge related to entrepreneurial expenses to be incurred.
(On the Platform ACCT/digiPACCT site, there is a general online Calculation Tool with elements provided with mark-up percentages, which can be allocated to technicians at events).
* For the benefit of all workers:
Hours spent per type of work/type of assignment in terms of preparation, on-site activities, after-work
(it may be useful to include the findings in a model mantle agreements : between clients and technical supply companies as well as between these companies and workers).
